It's Official: Microsoft Completes Acquisition of Activision Blizzard for $69 Billion
In a statement posted on Xbox Wire, Xbox chief Phil Spencer officially disclosed that the process has commenced to introduce Activision Blizzard games into Game Pass. While specific titles weren't explicitly mentioned, Spencer expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming integration, stating, "Today we initiate the efforts to incorporate cherished Activision, Blizzard, and King franchises into Game Pass and other platforms. We'll provide more details on when you can anticipate playing in the months ahead. We understand your anticipation, and we share that excitement."
Furthermore, Spencer conveyed a reassuring message to the existing players of Activision Blizzard games, suggesting that support across multiple platforms will remain intact. He affirmed, "For the millions of fans who love Activision, Blizzard, and King games, we want you to know that today is a good day to play. You are the heart and soul of these franchises, and we are honored to have you as part of our community. Whether you play on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, PC or mobile, you are welcome here – and will remain welcome, even if Xbox isn’t where you play your favorite franchise.
