According to Apple, iPhone 15 Pro Is Best Game Console
Apple is gearing up to launch its most gaming-focused smartphone yet, the iPhone 15. Preorders for the iPhone 15, including the high-end iPhone 15 Pro, are now available. Alongside numerous enhancements and the introduction of a USB-C port, the iPhone 15 Pro boasts what Apple asserts is the fastest processor currently available. In an interview with IGN, the Apple team emphasized that it's poised to become the premier gaming console in the market.
The iPhone 15 Pro boasts the A17 chip, which incorporates a 6-core GPU to align with Apple's gaming ambitions. Apple has even announced native support for several AAA games, including titles like the Resident Evil 4 remake, Assassin's Creed Mirage, and Death Stranding, with some of them incorporating ray tracing.
Given the demanding nature of graphically complex games, concerns about stressing the hardware of a compact mobile phone have arisen. However, Apple's Vice President of Worldwide iPhone Product Marketing, Kaiann Drance, assured that the iPhone 15 Pro has been meticulously prepared to handle high resolutions and frame rates with ease. Technologies like MetalFX, designed to enhance graphics performance for gaming, are part of the arsenal that developers can utilize to achieve optimal gaming experiences.
Tim Millet, Apple's VP of Platform Architecture, acknowledged that developers have the potential to push the device's GPU to its limits, but Apple provides tools like MetalFX to ensure sustained and enjoyable gaming experiences.
As we await the actual implementation, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro are currently available for pre-order on the Apple website and at major retailers.
