Sony Unveils PSOne-Themed PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro for 30th Anniversary Collection

Sony has introduced a special PSOne-themed PlayStation 5, PS5 Pro, and more as part of their 30th Anniversary Collection.

Announced in a PlayStation video, the collection features a limited edition DualSense, DualSense Edge, and PlayStation Portal. Preorders open on September 26, with a release scheduled for November 21.

The PS5 Pro bundle is limited to 12,300 units worldwide and includes the PS5 Pro, vertical stand, charging station, DualSense Edge controller with case, classic-style connector cable, cable ties with sacred symbols, sticker, poster, and paperclip.

A PS5 Slim Digital Edition will also be available, featuring a matching disc drive cover for those opting to buy the disc drive separately. It includes a regular DualSense controller and similar accessories as the PS5 Pro.

Sony has yet to announce pricing, but the DualSense and DualSense Edge controllers will be sold separately. Preorders open via PlayStation Direct for PSN account holders on September 26, with the Digital Edition available from retailers on October 10.

The collection echoes Sony’s 20th Anniversary PS4 release. The PS5 Pro, revealed during a Technical Presentation on September 10, carries a $699.99 price, excluding a disc drive and vertical stand, pushing the total cost to about $805 for those extras.
