Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered Rated for PlayStation 5 and PC

Sony is continuing its trend of remastering games, with Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered now confirmed for PlayStation 5 and PC. The confirmation comes via an ESRB rating, which surfaced after Horizon Zero Dawn was removed from PS Plus earlier this year, sparking rumors of a remaster in development.

The ESRB rating describes the game as an action RPG where players control Aloy, a hunter in a post-apocalyptic world who hunts robotic creatures. The description mentions combat involving arrows, spears, and traps, with some scenes depicting blood and references to sexual content and fictional drugs in text/audio files. The word "sh*t" also appears in the dialogue.

Originally released in 2017 on PlayStation 4 and later on PC in 2020, Horizon Zero Dawn is one of PlayStation Studios' best-selling titles, with over 24 million copies sold. The upcoming remaster is likely to stir debate, as the game already received a PS5 update in 2021, adding 60fps and 4K resolution. Its release may be tied to the upcoming PS5 Pro, launching in November.

The Horizon series is also expanding with the spin-off LEGO *Horizon Adventures* set to launch later this year, and Guerrilla Games is working on a multiplayer *Horizon* title.
